Original oil painting on canvas by Norwegian artist Carl Mortensen (1919–2005). The still life depicts a bouquet of flowers, likely ranunculus or dahlias, with nine deep red blooms accented by yellow flowers in a brown vase. A green book appears in the background to the right of the vase. The work is presented in a lightly distressed fawn timber frame and is ready to hang. Condition note: small area of paint loss (see photos).
